Cheyene was devastated after losing her longtime companion, Hooch, and she stopped eating. A family in town heard about her and came to the shelter to meet her. They fell in love with her on sight and adopted her. After a short adjusment period, she has settled in and is doing well in her new home.
We will soon have another dog available for virtual adoption but she was a part of our family for so long, we'll keep her posted with Hooch to honor her.
I am a spayed 11 year old female Chow Chow/German Shepherd mix. My original owner surrendered me to the shelter along with my 8 puppies. I had recently been hit by a car and my long beautiful tail had to be amputated. While I was recovering I fell in love with Hooch who was recovering from injuries of his own. We have been inseparable ever since.
I would love to have a family to love me as long as they would adopt Hooch too. In the meantime, I would appreciate you sponsoring me so I can continue to receive the love and care I need here at the shelter. I would rather live the rest of my life at DAWGS if that is where I have to be to stay with Hooch.
